Turn up your speakers but more importantly, just look at Christopher's face. He was so nervous and busy looking at all the parents in the room. Poor thing. It was both funny and cute.
I must apologize for the out of focus periods on this little video. I was so tired I not only couldn't hold the camera still but I too was seeing a blur.
The kids then performed, "It looked like Spilt milk. Aren't they all so cute?
This is Ms. Kathy, one of Christopher's teachers
That's another one of his teachers, Ms. Anitra
Then it was off for some food.
Here's Ms. Cookie lips Santa wore eyeliner. Yes it was a lady! The only reason he agreed to sit on Santa's lap was because Santa was giving away candy canes Here's the prize Alyssa never wants to leave whenever we go in here. It's just unfortunate we are unable to cough up the dough to enroll her. There are so many things for her to play with and she really likes those Kitchen set-ups. Maybe Santa will bring her one for Christmas
I'm way behind. I decided to keep track of my cooking these days as I've been slowly getting back into the swing of things. So here we go.
One of my husband's favorite, rolled steak with mashed potatoes. The rice was new for me and I didn't like it, cheesy herb rice...yuck!
After pounding the pieces to thin them out, I placed a thin layer of stuffing on each piece and rolled them. I don't have a photo of the completed steak rolls because the husband grabbed them up before I was able to capture them on camera. He ate them all.
This is one of my specialties. I make a mean dish of mashed potatoes with Rosemary & Chive flavor picked from my garden
The first and last time I will make this cheesy herb rice.
Okay, fast forward to today, curried chicken breast with Jasmine rice. Yes we eat a lot of curry in this house. My husband loves it. Unfortunately, I found out we were out of potatoes too late so there were no curried potatoes, or chick peas. Bummer!
Half of a garlic & from my garden flat chives, rosemary...............................Half an onion The rest was used when the chicken was seasoned yesterday
We were pressed for time as daddy will be home soon so we will rush cook it in my trusty old pressure cooker
Yay, in the pot you go!
Oh yummy, my strained Jasmine rice. It's about the go back in the pot to steam under it's own heat. Jasmine Rice is a little tricky. My husband doesn't know how to cook it.
All done! That little area is missing because my kids love plain rice. They had a share before daddy got his.
Hey, don't I look busy? That's why I like this photo, plus it was taken by my boy so....I love it! I think he takes better pictures than daddy. Big Chris took some photos of the me prepping the turkey and then an after shot when the bird was all done. The pictures came out horrible. It should have been so simple. I mean the bird wasn't flying or anything it was just laying there, what could have been so hard? I'll have to look through the messy photos to find one that is decent.
I have some photos of Ms. Ashleigh in her "clubbin' clothes" that I'd like to share so I'll do those soon. It's a wonderful day today. Christopher is in school and daddy has the day off. He just took Alyssa to the grocery store so it's just Ashleigh and I for the moment and she is asleep. WooHoo!
